Creeping Charlie, Gill-over-Ground, Ground Ivy, Hedgemaids, Alehoof, Glechoma hederacea. “The leaves have a peculiar, aromatic smell (reminiscent of mint, of lemon, and the back of the woods) and a slightly bitter taste. They make a pleasant tea and were used to flavor beer in Europe up until the 17th century. They can be added raw to salads or made into aromatic sauces.
